At the peak of his career, Gene Vincent appeared at a ballroom in Forest Lake, and the place went wild.

According to Forest Lake historian Brian Tolzman, there were 600 kids at the show, and a 16-year-old boy from St. Paul was arrested for starting a fight at the dance.
