Arden Hills
The Prince of Wales Inn was located on the north shore of Lake Johanna.
ROYAL TROUBLE
The first we see of this fine establishment was on March 18, 1933, when it was raided for a liquor violation. The proprietor, L.G. Arnesen, and two waitresses were arrested by Federal agents. (Minneapolis Star) in 1940. Less than 48 hours after the trio had been released on bond, they were arrested again by St. Paul prohibition agents, reported the Star on March 20, 1933. On April 29, 1933, the Minneapolis Tribune reported that Arnesen, the former proprietor of the Prince of Wales, and the two girls (sic) were indicted by a Federal grand jury on charges of sale and possession of liquor and resisting Federal officers.
But somehow Arnesen got out of trouble by November 1934, as we see by the ad below. Here we get directions on how to get to this roadhouse by the Lake: take East Hennepin Ave. in Minneapolis, to Cleveland Ave. Turn left in three miles to County Road D. Turn right in half a mile and follow Lake Johanna.

Music was provided by Eddie Guth and His Orchestra. Eddie may have taken over by 1940.

Ads indicate that it was open until at least November 1940. In May 1941, classified ads were published for two cottages at the site of the Prince of Wales Inn.
