Minnesota Music Awards 1992

What information there is for 1992 comes from an unbylined “People” column in the May 12, 1992, issue of the Minneapolis StarTribune.  I couldn’t find much more in the City Pages.  If you have more information, please contact me!  Thanks!

For other years, see MINNESOTA MUSIC AWARDS.

NOTES:

Jon Bream, Star Tribune, May 1, 1992:

After a one-year hiatus, the Minnies have been revived by the Minnesota Music Academy, which used to administer them until they were returned to their founder, City Pages publisher Tom Bartel.  Last year he canceled what would have been the 11th annual awards because his staff couldn’t muster the energy and the Minnies had generated “too much accumulated bad blood.”

Ballots appeared in the City Pages.  Only the 400 members of the Minnesota Music Academy were eligible to vote.  Membership costs $11.
