THE MINNESOTA MUSIC ACADEMY
As in 1987, the 1988 Minnesota Music Awards were run by the Minnesota Music Academy. The Mission Statement of the MMA reads:
The Minnesota Music Academy, established in March of 1986, is a nonprofit corporation committed to assisting Minnesota musicians in their artistic and professional development. The MMA will achieve this through programs of education and recognition.
